Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that midfielder Jordan James will miss upcoming fixtures due to a hamstring injury sustained during the club's recent victory over Cardiff City.

The 22-year-old, who joined on loan from Rennes in August, was forced off just past the half-hour mark of last Saturday’s match. Manager Cesar Peixoto noted that James had reported discomfort in the week leading up to the game at Molineux, but initial pre-match tests showed no issue. Further assessments following his early withdrawal confirmed the injury.

James is expected to miss Wolves' upcoming visit to Wrexham this weekend and the Championship trip to Bristol City on Wednesday. The club was looking to extend its unbeaten league run to five matches before the setback.

The injury interrupts a brief period of consistency for James, who had made only his third league start for the club against Cardiff. It marked his first consecutive starts since arriving from the French side.
